預定4月25日發售的EVA新劇場版：序的DVD，上周秋葉原街頭一些店鋪，像Games本店在17~18號已經開始了樣品展示，Demon影像放送等的預熱活動。
根據電擊online的介紹為：“《ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版:序》是根據2007年9月公開的劇場版用動畫。以庵野秀明總監督為首，將曾經的TV動畫《新世紀エヴァンゲリオン》眾Staff再度聚集總動員，在此基礎上追加新的年輕成員一同制作的完全新作。DVD特裝版除了本篇以外還附加了其他映像特典，劇情解說字幕，no cut CG集以及收錄了制作映像，音樂PV等。最後還會附特裝版用的解說Booklet。”
根據Games本店展示的EVA新劇場版序特裝版DVD的外觀，盤面和包裝都為深紅色，Booklet為紅黑相間的設計。
